Welcome to Dragonfly Sound.... Located in a cozy and private 1920s cottage in Sherman Oaks, CA, this 5.1 surround mixing room is ideal for a relaxed and creative post production design process.
Independent from the big studio system, the space encourages my sensitivity to the filmmaker's aesthetic, whether it be dramatic, elegant, minimalist, horrific, life-like, otherworldly....
Being near the main boulevard of Ventura makes for convenient meal breaks, with efficient delivery of quite an int'l cuisine.
The back garden, still under landscaping development, will provide a relaxing environment for a brainstorming director, including dining breaks on the outdoor patio, a variety of organic teas, a firepit, and a jacuzzi.
The studio is equipped with state-of-the-art gear centered around industry standard Digidesign technology.
The acoustically balanced room was tuned by world-class acoustician Bob Hodas, for an efficient transfer to the dub stage for final theatrical mix.
